BUGS

A woman changed her outside garage light to a brighter bulb. Suddenly she noticed more bugs! The increased light brought increased activity. She was filled with joy to see something that reminded her of God and His light, how it shows our imperfections so we can learn and grow from them. This morning I saw a cloud of miniscule bugs in a neighbor’s yard. Something bigger was flitting through the cloud, feeding on those tiny bugs. They enjoyed a lovely breakfast as the sun rose to usher in the day.

These examples of bugs demonstrate the fact that we need the proper light, the proper timing to see what’s unseen. Our life is full of activity that we don’t notice because we don’t observe, don’t have the ‘right’ light, don’t detect abundant nourishment. We can enjoy blessings! Turn on the light! Brighter! Stronger! Flit through the challenges and consume the lessons they provide. You are bigger than those seemingly giant unsurmountable issues.

Who is brighter than the brightest light? Who can penetrate the blackest darkness? Who is bigger than your biggest bug? If you’re not sure, talk to someone you trust that is confident in their faith. Find out what you are missing, where Light can take you, how you can notice abundant blessings around you every day.

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

John 8:12 (NLT)
